Description : Funeral services were held January 22 at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home in Bradford for Harold Christie Young, of Moore St., who died January 19 at Wellesley Hospital in Toronto.Young, a native of Bath, came to this area in 1957.He was superintendent of Deseronto Hydro for 18 years; a line foreman for Bradford Public Utilities for 14 years and maintained the town's sewage pumphouse on a part-time basis for nine years.When a new plant was built by the Ministry of the Environment in 1971, Young accepted the post of supervisor.He was a 10-year member of the Deseronto Lions' Club, and was active in the Bradford and District Curling Club.Young is survived by his wife, Pauline (nee Slobodian) and children Patricia (Mrs. Donald Pringle) of Deseronto, Joyce and Harold of Bolton, and Jerry of Bradford. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.
