Description : Tecumseth Township's grand old lady, fondly known as Grandma Dorsey, passed away at her home Monday, March 1, in her 99th year.Mary Ann Broom born October 3, 1866, the daughter of Charles Broom and Hannah Devall, lived all her life in Tecumseth Township.In 1897 she married Thomas Dorsey and by that union came three sons and five daughters. Her husband, three sisters and five brothers predeceased her.Left to mourn the loss of a loving mother are Rowena, Norval and Ewart at home, Dr. Mallory C. Dorsey of Hamilton, Lyda (Mrs. C. Jamieson) of Bronte, Irma (Mrs. H. Le Bar) of Keswick and Mereda (Mrs. G. Troyer) of Woodbridge, ten grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.Service was conducted by Rev. W. M. Lee in Trinity United Church, Beeton, Thursday afternoon. Interment was made in Trinity United Cemetery, Beeton.
