              Framed photograph of Rev. Dan. Norman and his wife, Mrs. Norman. Rev. Norman was a missionary in Japan, whose missionary trips were funded in part by Methodist Congregations in Bradford. He sometimes sent letters or gave presentations in the area about his work in Japan.

              Writing on the back of the frame in green is partially rubbed off, with the illegible words replaced in pencil. It reads: "Rev Mr. Norman visited Schomberg in 1924 and was entertained by Mr. + Mrs. Skinner. His last visit." Additional writing underneath in pencil reads: "PICTURE OF:- REV. DAN. NORMAN & HIS WIFE, MISSIONARY TO JAPAN. SUPPORTED BY THE EPWORTH LEAGUES OF THE BRADFORD DISTRICT OF THE METHODIST CHURCH. (IN WHICH SCHOMBERG METHODIST CHURCH HAD A LARGE PART.)."

              "Reverend Roy Comrie of Umtalie, Rhodesia, will be guest speaker at St. John's West Gwillimbury churches in Bradford on Sunday, April 2. Mr. Comrie is a missionary who serves with the Africa Evangelical Fellowship and studies at Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto. He was born in Rhodesia to parents from Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland, and has served several years in Zambia. He and his wife, Gwyneth, a registered nurse, have been serving in Rhodesia as pastor of a congregation, principal of a Bible School, and evangelists. The Comries have three sons, two of them teenagers, and a daughter, and they are planning to return to Rhodesia in August. The Presbyterian congregations welcome everyone to their Sunday services and invite you to hear this interesting preacher."

              "The May Rally of the Barrie Presbyterian Women's Missionary Society held at the First Presbyterian Church, Collingwood, was attended by about 179 women. President Mrs. Forrest McKee, Collingwood, led using 'Let Your Light Shine' as her theme. The mediations were given by Mrs. Bernell McKay and Mrs. Mel Strachan of the the Central Oro group. Reports on the Synodical meetingg held at the Kingsway Church in Islington, were given. Mrs. R. H. McKee, Collingwood, gave ideas to everyone on how to create interest in their own congregations during her talk on Christian concerns. The ladies of the hosting church served a salad luncheon. Rev. Douglas Wilson of the First Presbyterian Church, took the afternoon session beginning with a communion service. Mrs.Stanley Bloss, area secretary of the Toronto-Kinston synodical, was the guest speaker. In her address, she pointed out that faith and truth make for a beautiful life; they wipe out all doubts. Tea and fruit breads were served at the close of the meeting."
